Frederick Jay "Rick" Rubin adalah seorang produser rekaman Amerika. Ia adalah salah satu pendiri Def Jam Recordings, pendiri American Recordings, dan mantan wakil presiden Columbia Records.

Rubin membantu mempopulerkan hip hop dengan memproduseri rekaman untuk artis-artis pelopor seperti LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Run-DMC, Public Enemy, dan Geto Boys. Ia juga memproduseri rekaman-rekaman hit untuk artis-artis dari berbagai genre lain, seperti pop (Kesha, Adele, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga), heavy metal (Danzig, Metallica, Slayer), rock alternatif (The Cult, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, The Strokes, Weezer), hard rock (Audioslave, AC/DC, Aerosmith), nu metal (Linkin Park, System of a Down, Slipknot), dan country (Johnny Cash, The Avett Brothers, The Chicks, Tyler Childers, Kid Rock).

Pada tahun 2007, Rubin disebut sebagai "produser terpenting dalam 20 tahun terakhir" oleh MTV dan namanya masuk dalam daftar "100 Orang Paling Berpengaruh di Dunia" versi Time tahun 2007. Pada tahun 2026, Rubin dilantik ke dalam Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
